Caramelized Onion Dip Recipe
Learn how to make this caramelized onion dip recipe at home. This healthy dip recipe is made with boiled chickpeas and caramelized onions. Serve this dip with onion-flavoured wheat chips.

Ingredients:
For the dip:
1 cup chickpeas, cooked
2 medium-sized onions, sliced
2-3 tbsp oil
1 tsp butter
¼ tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
For assembling:
Onion Wheat Chips
¼ cup boiled chickpeas
2 tsp oil
Salt to taste
Red chilli powder, as per taste
Fried onions, for garnishing
Chopped coriander leaves, as required
Method:
Heat a pan over medium flame. Add oil. Allow it to heat up.
Add onion. Cook until golden and caramelized.
Add butter and red chilli powder. Mix well. Keep aside.
Grind the boiled chickpeas until smooth.
Add salt and onions. Mix well. Keep aside.
Heat the same pan over medium flame. Add oil. Allow it to heat up.
Cook until crisp and golden.
Add salt and red chilli powder. Mix well. Keep aside.
Place the wheat chips in the serving place.
Spread the onion-chickpea dip on top.
Add the chickpeas, fried onions and coriander leaves.
Serve immediately!
