Easy Rice Krispie treats cake for Easter made without marshmallow. This simple no-bake cake is a sure crowd pleaser!
An easter cake made with puffed rice, sugar syrup, m&m’s and lots of colourful sprinkles. This crispy treat is so fun and easy to make. Just add all the ingredients into a pot, give it a mix and allow it to chill in the freezer for an hour. Pipe it with your favourite icing and then serve. Ingredients:
- 2 cups puffed rice or rice Krispie cereal
- 1 cup (250g) sugar
- ⅓ cup sugar
- ¼ cup m&m’s or Cadbury gems
- ¼ cup colourful sugar balls or sprinkles
- Buttercream frosting, as needed
Cooking Directions:
In a saucepan, add sugar and water. Heat on medium flame. Cook until sugar dissolves. Turn the heat off and allow it to cool down.
Take a medium-sized bowl, pour puffed rice, m&m’s, sugar sprinkles and sugar syrup. Mix well. Pour the mixture in the baking pan lined with parchment paper. Using a spatula or hand press into the pan but be gentle.
Keep it in the freezer for 1 hour. Demould the rice krispie cake. Pipe the buttercream frosting on it. Scatter sprinkles all over the top. Serve.
