Course: Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine: Indian

Ingredients

  • 250 g chicken keema
  • ¼ cup roasted besan
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder freshly crushed
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 1 green chilli deseeded and finely chopped
  • Mozzarella cheese as required (I have added 1 tsp cheese to each kabab)
  • 6-8 tbsp oil for shallow frying

Method

  1. In a bowl, add chicken keema, besan, coriander powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder, salt, garlic paste, ginger paste, chopped onion, coriander leaves and green chilli. Mix well.
  2. Apply oil on your palms, take a little keema mixture, make a ball and flatten it.
  3. Place a small ball of mozzarella cheese in the middle.
  4. Bring the edges together and seal it well. Form a ball and flatten it. Make all the kebabs in the same manner.
  5. Heat oil in a pan over a high flame/temperature.
  6. Lower the flame to medium. Carefully drop the kebabs in the hot oil.
  7. Shallow fry for a few minutes until the bottom sides of all the kebabs become golden brown in colour.
  8. Flip them and cook the other sides until golden brown.
  9. Serve chicken cheese kabab with ketchup or green chutney.
