Ingredients
  

  • ΒΌ inch ginger
  • 1- inch cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 2 green cardamom
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp tea leaves
  • 1-2 tsp lemon juice
  • Mint leaves for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • In a mortar and pestle, combine ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Crush the spices until well combined.
  • Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle.
  • Add the crushed spices and sugar to the boiling water. Boil for a few minutes, until fragrant.
  • Add the tea leaves and boil for an additional 2 minutes, or until the tea turns reddish-brown.
  • Remove from heat and squeeze in lemon juice.
  • Pour the Sulaimani tea into cups and garnish with mint leaves.
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
