Ingredients
  

  • A handful of fresh coriander leaves
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp chana sattu
  • 1.5 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp black salt
  • A pinch of hing/asafoetida
  • Black pepper powder to taste
  • 1 small green chilli chopped
  • ¼ tsp chopped ginger
  • ½ cup dahi/yoghurt
  • ½ cup chilled water
  • Ice cubes as required
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a grinder, combine coriander leaves, mint, sattu, cumin powder, black salt, hing, black pepper, green chilli, ginger and dahi. Grind until smooth.
  • Transfer the mixture to a jug.
  • Add chilled water to the grinder and give it a good shake to extract every last bit of the mixture.
  • Pour this into the jug and mix well.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the sattu chaas over them.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves and serve chilled.
