A twist on traditional toast, Dahi Besan Bread Toast combines yogurt, gram flour, and spices for a mouthwatering snack.

- ½ cup dahi yoghurt
- ½ cup besan gram flour
- 1 tsp chaat masala powder
- 1 tsp kasuri methi dried fenugreek leaves
- Black pepper to taste
- Red chilli powder to taste
- A pinch of turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 3 bread slices
- Tomato ketchup for serving
Step 1: Prepare the Besan-Dahi Mixture
In a bowl, combine dahi, besan, chaat masala, kasuri methi, black pepper, red chilli powder, turmeric, and salt.
Mix well to form a smooth and thick paste.
Gradually add water and mix until the desired consistency is achieved.
Step 2: Cook the Bread Toast
Heat a non-stick pan over medium flame.
Add ghee and let it heat up.
Dip a bread slice into the besan-dahi mixture, coating both sides evenly.
Place the coated bread slice in the pan.
Cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown on both sides.
Repeat with the remaining bread slices.
- Use whole wheat bread for a healthier option.
- Add chopped herbs like coriander or parsley for extra flavour.
- Experiment with different spice levels to suit your taste.
- Pair with chutneys or raita for a delicious snack.
