Serves: 2 people
Ingredients:
¼ inch ginger
1-inch cinnamon stick
2-3 cloves
2 green cardamom
2 cups water
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp tea leaves
1-2 tsp lemon juice
Mint leaves, for garnishing
Instructions:
In a mortar and pestle, combine ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Crush the spices until well combined.
Boil 2 cups of water in a kettle.
Add the crushed spices and sugar to the boiling water. Boil for a few minutes, until fragrant.
Add the tea leaves and boil for an additional 2 minutes, or until the tea turns reddish-brown.
Remove from heat and squeeze in lemon juice.
Pour the Sulaimani tea into cups and garnish with mint leaves.
Serve hot and enjoy!
