Chinese Chicken Pakoda Recipe
Learn how to make a Chinese-style chicken pakoda recipe. Crispy chicken pakoda or pakora tossed with an easy sauce which is flavoured with green chillies. This is the perfect snack recipe for any occasion.

Ingredients:
For the marinade:
250g minced chicken
1 egg
1 tsp oil
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp soy sauce
Pinch of sugar
Salt to taste
½ tsp black pepper, freshly crushed
1 tsp ginger paste
2 tsp garlic paste
1 cup cornflour
¾ tsp baking soda
For the stir fry:
½ tsp sugar
½ tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp oil
2 tbsp green chillies, chopped
Oil for deep frying
Method:
In a bowl, add egg, oil, vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, ginger and garlic paste. Mix well.
Add chicken. Mix well. Allow it to marinate for 30 minutes.
Add cornflour and baking soda. Mix well.
Divide the chicken mixture into small balls.
Heat oil in a pan over medium-high flame/temperature.
Add the chicken pakodas one by one. Don’t overcrowd the pan.
Deep fry until lightly golden. It will take 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Take them out. Fry the next batch.
Keep frying until all the pakodas are done.
Allow the oil to heat up. Add the pakodas again (in batches).
Deep fry for 2-3 minutes. Until they are crispy and golden brown in colour.
Take them out. Double-fry all the pakodas in the same manner.
In a bowl, add sugar, soy sauce and vinegar. Mix well until sugar dissolves.
Heat a pan over a high flame/temperature.
Add oil and green chillies. Cook for 30 seconds.
Pour the soy sauce mixture. Cook for a few seconds.
Add the chicken pakodas. Toss them well.
Serve hot!
