And these days, people are creating such unique dishes with it like Maggi vada, cutlets, basket, roll, chaat and so many more. That’s just amazing! There are several Maggi recipes over the internet. I know some of these recipes might not be that good. But I will ask you to try it at least once because you never know which one you’ll end up liking.

Like everybody else, I have also experimented with Maggi noodles multiple times. Sometimes it was a hit and sometimes, well…it was alright. Didn’t like it that much. But its totally worth it. As a food blogger, you have to try different flavour combinations and cooking methods to see what works best. After reading this post, you can look at some of the other Maggi recipes on this blog.

Now coming to this recipe, barbeque flavoured paneer Maggi noodles is by far the best Maggi recipe I have ever made. It is so easy to make and has such a beautiful smokey flavour. Trust me guys, you need to try this at least once! It is made with paneer, garlic, onion, spring onion, barbeque sauce, chilli sauce, salt, pepper and Masala Maggi noodles. It’s basically a quick stir-fried noodle recipe. Where you just have to add all the ingredients to a wok, cook for a few minutes, give them a quick toss and it’s ready to serve. So simple!

You can change the recipe as per your preference. Like for example, if you don’t want to add paneer/ cottage cheese to this dish then you can substitute it with boneless chicken or your favourite vegetable. And if you want to make it spicer then you can add more chilli sauce, black pepper or you can even add chopped green chillies. Just add it after cooking the onions. It will give an excellent chilli aroma to the noodles. So follow this step-by-step recipe to make this spicy masala Maggi at home.

Serves: 2 people

Ingredients:

  • 2 packets Maggi Masala noodles, 70g each
  • 200g paneer, diced
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 tbsp garlic, chopped
  • ¼ cup spring onion (green part), chopped
  • 1 sachet Maggi Masala tastemaker
  • 2-3 tbsp barbeque sauce
  • 1 tsp green chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3-4 tbsp oil
  • 3-4 cups water

Cooking Directions:

  • Heat a wok over medium flame. Pour 2 tbsp oil and allow it to heat up.
  • Then add the paneer pieces in the wok. Cook until they become golden brown in colour.
  • Be very gentle while flipping the paneer pieces. As they might break easily. 
  • Once they become golden brown, take them out and keep them aside to cool down.
  • In the same wok, pour 1 tbsp oil then add chopped garlic to the wok. Cook for a couple of minutes. Make sure the raw garlic smell disappears.
  • Once the garlic turns golden, add chopped onions. Cook for 5-6 minutes. They should become translucent and slightly golden around the edges.
  • Meanwhile, the onions are cooking, heat water in a saucepan/pot. Once it starts boiling, add Maggi noodles. Cook the noodles as per package instructions. Make sure you don’t overcook it.
  • Then drain the noodles, pour them on a plate, drizzle oil over them and toss well. The oil will prevent them from sticking together. Keep them aside.
  • Once the onions are translucent, add chopped spring onion, barbeque sauce, green chilli sauce, black pepper powder and salt. Give a good mix.
  • Add the fried paneer pieces. Then mix well. Make sure all the paneer pieces are well coated. 
  • Then add the Maggi tastemaker. Mix well.
  • Add the cooked Maggi noodles to the wok. Toss everything well but be very gentle. Using two forks/ladles or a pair of tongs, mix everything nicely. 
  • The noodles may stick a little at first, but be very gentle and quick. Toss everything well. If needed, you can add a little extra oil and barbeque sauce.
  • Transfer it to the serving plate, garnish with chopped spring onions. Barbeque Paneer Maggi is ready to serve.
