This microwave mug cake is very easy to make at home. You just need a few ingredients like all-purpose flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, sugar, milk, oil and the key ingredient of this dessert, Nutella.
And to make it a little more chocolatey, I have added a few spoonfuls of chocolate. You can use any kind of chocolate in this mug cake. But please don’t use chocolate chips, as they won’t melt that well. Here I have used a small bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate which was about 23-24g.
So next time whenever you get a sweet craving and you don’t want to make a big batch of cake, try this easy Nutella mug cake recipe. It won’t take much time to prepare and will surely satisfy your sugar cravings.
Recipe Requirement:
- Mug: Always use a microwave-proof mug for this recipe. Here I have used a 300ml ceramic microwavable mug. If you are using a smaller mug, then adjust the quantity of the ingredients accordingly.
- Microwave: Every microwave has a different output wattage. The cooking time will change depending upon the wattage of your microwave. Here I have cooked this mug cake in a 900W microwave and it took 1 minute 40 seconds. But if you have a 1200W microwave then the cake will cook in less time, like for example under 1 minute. So you must check the wattage of your microwave before you make this recipe.

Microwave it for 1 minute. Then check if it is fully baked. The cake should feel fluffy and springy to the touch.

Then take it out of the microwave and let it cool down for a couple of minutes. Then it is ready to be devoured!
