Microwave Mug Pizza In Less Than 3 Minutes
Quick and easy microwave mug pizza made under 3 minutes. This single-serving pizza can be the perfect snack/lunch/dinner recipe when you don’t have time to cook a meal or if you are feeling too lazy. Try this! It just requires a few ingredients, a mug and a microwave.
This is an eggless mug pizza recipe where the pizza dough is made from scratch. It uses ingredients like all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, milk, olive oil and a little bit of salt. Now to make this pizza bread more flavourful, I have also added oregano, black pepper powder and garlic powder into the pizza dough. This gives a beautiful aroma to the bread.

After mixing all the above ingredients, I have microwaved the dough for 1 minute. It is because I like baking the pizza bread/base first before adding all the other toppings. After microwaving it for 1 minute, the bread will be around 80-90% cooked. Then add grated mozzarella cheese, followed by pizza sauce, chopped onion, capsicum and frozen sweet corns. You can add these toppings or any other topping of your choice. Microwave it for 20-30 seconds (read recipe requirements).
It tastes almost like a pizza cake in a mug. Where a soft and fluffy savoury bread is topped with lots of cheese, pizza sauce, veggies, herbs and chilli flakes. This recipe is so good, you can make it any time you like. And in just about 90 seconds you will have the most comforting meal ever. This recipe is a great after-school snack. Recipe Requirement:
Mug: Always use a microwave-proof mug for this recipe. Here I have used a 300ml ceramic microwavable mug. If you are using a smaller mug, then adjust the quantity of the ingredients accordingly.
Microwave: Every microwave has a different output wattage. The cooking time will change depending upon the wattage of your microwave. Here I have cooked this mug pizza in a 900W microwave and it took 1 minute 30 seconds. But if you have a 1200W microwave then the pizza will cook in less time, like for example under 1 minute. So you must check the wattage of your microwave before you make this recipe.

Ingredients:
- 8 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ⅛ tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ¼ tsp black pepper powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 6 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp pizza sauce
- 2-3 tbsp mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1-2 tbsp chopped onion, capsicum and sweet corns
- Oregano, for garnishing
- Red chilli flakes, for garnishing
Baking Directions:
In a microwave-safe mug add all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, black pepper powder, oregano and garlic powder. Using a fork, give it a mix.
Pour milk and olive oil. Stir it well and make a smooth batter.
Using a spoon, smoothen the sides and top of the pizza dough.
Microwave it for 1 minute. Then take it out.
Add a spoonful of mozzarella cheese over the top of the pizza base.
Add a layer of pizza sauce over it. Followed by a layer of veggies.
Then add more cheese over the top. Make sure you don’t add too much cheese or else it will overflow in the microwave. Add a few sweet corns, chopped onion and capsicum.
Microwave for 30 seconds. Then take it out. Sprinkle oregano and red chilli flakes. Serve hot!
