Cheesy Sweet Corn – Made with Cheddar, Chilli and Garlic
Want to know how to make cheesy sweet corn at home? Check this recipe out! It is spicy, cheesy and so flavourful. This one-pot corn recipe is so easy to make and it requires just a few ingredients.
Cheesy sweet corn is such a simple dish. But tastes incredible. It is the perfect tea time snack which you can prepare without putting too much effort. Just add all the ingredients into a skillet, cook them for a few minutes and done! It’s ready to devour.
This sweet corn recipe is made without cream cheese. So instead of that, I have used cheddar cheese. It gives a nice earthy aroma to this dish. And I have also used milk which will help the cheese to melt evenly and will make the sauce little creamy.
Prep Time: 2 min | Cook Time: 15 min | Total Time: 17 min
Serves: 2-3 people
Instructions:
- 2 cups sweet corn kernels, thawed and drained
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp garlic, chopped
- 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
- 2 tsp green chilli, chopped
- 1/4 tsp red chilli flakes
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions:
Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high flame. Add butter and allow it to melt completely. Once it starts bubbling, add chopped garlic. Cook for a few minutes until it is fragrant.
Then add the chopped onions into the pan. Continue to saute the onions until they become translucent.
Add the thawed sweet corns and cook for 3-4 minutes. The corns should become soft.
Lower the flame and pour milk. Bring it to a simmer. Then add cheddar cheese and chopped green chillies. Mix well. Allow the cheese to melt completely. Turn the flame off.
Garnish with finely chopped green chillies and red chilli flakes.
